I find myself drawn toward inspiration lately. I think I need it in my life, so I am seeking it from other places in order to feel it and bring it into my life.
I just read an article about a 95 year old woman who is graduating college. I will post the link at the bottom of this blog.
It's funny, last month, I found an article about a 96 year old man who just published his first novel and now here's a woman, who at 95 is graduating college. It's amazing how much you can still achieve in your life no matter how late you think it might be.
Seriously, though, how inspirational is that? Most people at 95 contemplate their lives as being at an end and here is a woman who is trying to improve herself with an education. Amazing.
I hope to keep that in mind as I progress with my life. I fully realize that at 29 and rapidly approaching 30, I am having a crisis as to what my life SHOULD be like and where I SHOULD be with things like a career, romance, etc. The things these articles are telling me is that success and accomplishment can come at any age and that age is just a number, if you can get it into your mind to believe that you can do something, regardless.
What these people are doing sounds so impossible. I mean, society has a mindset that someone at 95 or 96 can't do these things. Yet, these people are showing us that you can publish a novel at 96 and you can graduate college at 95! Perhaps if we apply that to ourselves, in our every day lives, we'd realize that we can accomplish the things we fear we can't. We just need to believe in it.
I know I need a little of that in my life. So, here's to believing in the "impossible"!
